Base Grind service was top notch. I was worried with the last review but my board came out amazingly for the amount of damage the back country Hut trip did to my board. I even brought a friend when I dropped the board off who bought some gear. Thank you very much. Highly recommended!

I rented my skies there and the staff was very nice and super helpful. My only issue is that if you rent them there and take them up the montain, there is no corresponding store up in the skiing area and if there is something wrong, like in my case, you are in trouble! But if you are looking to shop they have a great selection.

Came in to look for ski clothing for my 6yo son. Debbie helped me choose out a nice outfit, showed me how that you can adjust them for when my son will grow up. She was definitely helpful. A plus was that they have a sale on their outerwear right now and great prices overall. I was looking at snowboard bindings and while they didn't have the ones I wanted, the owner, Rick, seemed extremely friendly and helpful.

Worked with Will and even though they didn’t have what I was looking for, he was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and very helpful. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Dropped through here after visiting another ski shop in town. Had recently had a snowboarding trip that was somewhat ruined by consistent arch pain. I had looked at insoles before but decided it was time to go in and really take a look at some. At the first location I went to the staff was very nice but didn't really give much information apart from what they had available and that they could do full custom insoles but that it would be next week. Decided against it and came to check out the Ski Shop. When I walked in I was asked what I was looking for and when I mentioned insoles they sent me down to another staff member named Will.

Will is very knowledgeable, and was extremely informative. When I mentioned I had some insoles already he wasn't pushing me to buy the "most expensive" but giving me the pros and cons on each type and what I might find most useful but also letting me know that I'd still feel some discomfort regardless just because of how demanding the sport is. I decided to get semi-custom insoles after discussing and bringing in my boots (I had thought I had semi-custom but they were drop-in). Quickly got set up with the new insoles and also let me know why the drop-ins I had weren't working for me. Went riding the next day and even though I still felt some discomfort (as expected) it was miles better than before.

I really appreciated the information and not being "pushed" to waste money on something that may not work better than I already had. At the end of the day I'm extremely glad I decided to drop by here and I'll absolutely come by again whenever I need any new gear.

I have had one of the best customer service experiences of my life thanks to the talented and knowledgeable staff employed at the Ski Shop.
So I just recently got back into snowboarding after an 8 season break. I grew up snowboarding in Eagle River, Alaska and was nervous about how smoothly my transition back into snowboarding would be. I had good quality but outdated gear. After briefly talking with Scott about my style of snowboarding and requirements for my new gear, i was given one of the most thorough and comprehensive explanations of the differences between snowboard brands that I’ve ever heard. The massive evolution in boot technology and the benefits of each brand was explained in a way that was easy to understand but more importantly showed me how much care and attention each customer receives at the Ski Shop. My feet were measured and I found the most perfect fitting boots I’ve ever worn. Scott’s knowledge wasn’t just limited to boots. Scott went on to articulately describe all the technological nuances of the boards they carry and how their construction affects the riding experience. This has been one of the best seasons of snowboarding in my life and it was made possible by the folks at the Ski Shop. I cannot recommend this store highly enough. Every single thing about this experience was top notch. THANK YOU SO MUCH SCOTT. You have truly made this snowboarding season unforgettable.

Went in today to get ski boots. I’ve always had trouble fitting into rentals and was finally ready to make a purchase. I spent 3 hours trying on many boots and finally we found a pair. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. They even added more to my boot to make it work for me. Weren’t trying to sell the most expensive or get you to also buy skis. Such an amazing experience. I will be going back for all my needs.

Very knowledgeable staff. I Scored some skis on the FB marketplace and they were able to get them up to snuff and set for me. It was only about $90 for a full reset on them. Plus the turn around was quick and as always you can trust a store that has a dog mascot.

The crew put on an excellent demo bus. Everything went off like clockwork from breakfast sandwiches, OJ, and coffee to getting us to Loveland on time with lots of skis to try out and very helpful techs. Lunch was very good and the beer, wine, cheese and snacks on the way home were another great touch.

This is the best ski shop in town! The staff knows skiing inside and out, and the store has a great selection of equipment, clothing, and accessories. Rentals are available too. The ski repairs and tune-ups here are the best I've found. Unsure what skis I wanted to buy, the staff suggested their Ski Demo Bus which would allow me to try many skis from multiple vendors in one day. WOW! What a great time the Demo Bus attendees had! The day was exceptionally well planned and organized with ten ski vendors and dozens of skis to try -- not to mention a great time both on the slopes and on the bus! I found my skis and the Ski Shop got them ordered.
If you live in (or anywhere near) Colorado Springs, you need to check out The Ski Shop for your skiing and riding needs.

I joined the group of folks on a bus trip to Loveland Ski Area for a Demo Day with multiple ski brands represented. I was pleased with the very well organized arrangements! Smooth and quick changes from one ski to another, and we were very well served both on and off the slopes! Thank you, Ski Shop!

The staff is very friendly and obviously have an incredible amount of experience. They fitted boots on my weird feet with ease. If you get a chance to get on their demo day bus....Do it! Awesome time. I will update after buying skis.

Took a bus trip to Loveland to Demo ski’s thru the Ski Shop. I had no expectations since I’ve never done this before. What a great experience it was. The bus ride up was relaxing and fun. Rich and his team were open for any questions let alone providing us with snacks and drinks. Once we arrived, we had our own private room to get ready and at least 10 different ski reps with a great lineup of skis to try. I ran laps off one of the runs and within minutes I was on a new set of skis to try. What a great treat. And I found a great ski that I eventually want to purchase.

Great people, service, selection, etc...everything you could want in a ski/board shop. Just returned from a private demo day they organized with numerous vendors at Loveland Ski Area and it couldn't have been a better experience...I highly recommend.

I came in for new boots and was helped by Kevin. It was apparent that he was super knowledgeable about boot fitting. I’ve skied my whole life and accepted that boots weren’t going to be comfortable. Kevin changed my perspective on this and I’m super happy with the boots I purchased. The whole staff is super friendly, they even got 3 pairs of skis adjusted to the new boots in just a day so I’d be ready for an upcoming trip. I’ll definitely come back to this shop, the service and staff are top notch!

Went in about a month ago to get my first board for a trip. The salesman (wish I could remember his name) who helped me was beyond helpful. He got all my info on experience (used to be good but hadn't been in 10+ years) and helped me pick out a board based on that. He also helped me pick out boots and bindings, once he found out my size he immediately pointed me towards some used Burton step ons in my size, which saved me hundreds of dollars. They also got my board all set up for me. I recently returned from my trip and everything was perfect! The board was an exact fit for my skill level and I was so glad to have step ins. I wish I could give more stars as my experience at the store was 5/5 and my experience with the equipment they sold me was 5/5. Added bonus, even without used boots my board was significantly less expensive than if I had bought it from the online retailer I was looking at.

I went in to buy my first set of skis. Al and Will were amazing. They answered all of my questions no matter how beginner, and they gave me great recommendations. Their expertise and ability to explain the whys behind everything was really appreciated. Lastly, Will went above and beyond to turn around my skis so they were ready for my trip. I’ll be going back here for all of my skiing maintenance and needs.

Thanks to the salesman with the Wrangler shirt and colored loafers who helped my teenager buy snowboard boots. I'd rather buy local any day and he made it easy. He sold him a pair on sale too. Appreciate it!

Boot fitment
I have a high instep. I have trouble with boots...to include getting them on. My frustration was off the charts after trying on more than few different brands days before. I rolled into this place on my way thru town because maybe....? I got hooked up with Al(?). I told him about my "loft" ability and how I was going to use them and he got to work. After more than a few measurements and comments on the 3x's size higher instep I have he disappeared/reappeared with 2 different boots. Both models slid right on. They were tight but comfortable. He suggested I go with the tighter model. After heating the inside, sliding them on and strapping them down I swear the clouds parted and the sun shine thru. THIS is what ski boots can feel like?! After a short discussion about custom sole inserts we made a pair of those too. I havent tried them on yet but Im sure heavens will part and angels will sing(no offense, you apply your own beliefs here).
